Stroudsmoor Kicks Off Summer with High Street Premiere Rock n' Roll Band
Opening night for Music at the Moor is fast approaching and we have a long list of fun family-activities to fill the night. Doors open at 4:30, with our buffet dinner (a tantalizing Southern BBQ opening at 5 p.m. Keep in mind that the buffet is only available to those guests who have made reservations to join us at the tables beneath the Pavilion, so if you’re looking to enjoy “dinner and a show,” make your reservations now!
Nevertheless, whether you decide to join us under the Pavilion or on a comfy blanket or folding chair on the lawn, the entertainment of the evening is sure to impress regardless.
While our season openers, High Street Premiere Rock n’ Roll band, don’t take to the stage until 6 p.m., our team is proud to offer a number of other entertaining activities to keep you and your kiddos occupied.
On the lawn, moms and dads can find our ‘Kids’ Corner,’ which, on Opening Night, will feature an evening of face painting and mini manicures for the youngest of music lovers. Our staff is also prepared with a handful of lawn games for everyone’s enjoyment, including, of course, cornhole, as well as Giant Jenga and axe throwing.
We also look forward to welcoming for the very first time, Stephen “Mr. Hypno” Christopher, a local magician, hypnotist, and funny-man. Bringing a fascinating collection of tricks and jokes, Mr. Christopher sets the stage for High Street, who will rock the stage from 6-9 p.m, setting the stage for the rest of the summer’s events and performers.
Get to Know the Season Openers
Originally from Pottstown, PA, High Street is a high energy band looking to “keep the American roots of Rock n’ Roll alive” in an era of diverse musical talent.
Whether seated on the lawn or beneath our pavilion, guests can look forward to a mix of beloved rock covers, including those of music icons like Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Eddie Cochran to name a few.
However, that’s not to say the 4-piece band doesn’t plan to shake things up with some upbeat original pieces as well.
Keep in mind, we have much more planned later in the series this summer as well. So consider joining us for multiple nights throughout the summer as we welcome groups like Lost in Time Car Show, the Alpacas of Windy Haven Farm, M&M Vineyards, and much, much Moor.
